Posting pictures without adding names, places, and stories behind pictures just isn’t enough.

Each of the above pictures were posted on this blog and were well documented. This next picture of Gerald Boucher is from his sister’s collection of pictures.

Gerald Boucher born 1924, died 1944

There was an untold story about Gerald Boucher until I heard what this pilot said

Boucher was part of his crew, but Gerald Boucher decided that he did not think the pilot was dependable enough. So Gerald Boucher asked for his transfer to another crew.

It was accepted.

The pilot would go on to win a DFC and survive more than 30 operations.
